It’s probably no surprise to you that suede is a fashion favourite for fall. The soft fabric fits perfectly with the chilly season and gives a nice dimension of texture to any outfit (hugging yourself when wearing the luxe fabric is also totally acceptable FYI). Plus suede is surprisingly versatile, and can be worn a number of different ways, so mix it up! Suede looks great when paired with other textures and fabrics, such as flannel, corduroy, or cozy wools. But be mindful – as with most trends, a little can go a long way, and the trick is striking a great balance (you don’t want to look like you just walked out of a western, or if that’s your jam, then all the power to you and keep doing you!). So whether you plan on wearing suede on your head, or on your feet, I’ve got you covered, and for everything in between too! Keep reading if you’d like to get some ideas and inspiration for how to wear suede this fall.

This is the jacket styled in the photos above – I can’t even begin to tell you how soft this is for a faux-suede fabric. The hardware toughens it up and I think this piece is going to be versatile over different seasons. BLANKNYC makes a beautiful suede moto jacket that comes in a beautiful burgundy or olive colour as well.

If you’re hesitant to dive in, start small and go for an accessory such as this baseball hat.

Another easy way to incorporate suede is with a pair of ankle booties. I love the pointed toe and sculpted top line of this pair.

I love the wrap detail on this midi skirt. Plus it’s on sale!

Layer this A-line dress over a turtleneck for a cozy outfit, or a high-neck blouse for a feminine look.

I absolutely LOVE this skirt. The midi style would look chic with a pair of tall boots (I’m picturing something with a wooden stacked heel), and an oversized wool turtleneck. I just feel cozy thinking about it!

This saddle bag makes for a great and stylish accessory, plus the navy colour is beautiful. Tip: sign up for their newsletter and you can get 15% off!

Suede thigh-high boots are an effortless way to look feminine and sexy too. These are my (and probably every girl’s out there) dream pair, but there’s tons of more affordable options such as these or these (they come in crushed velvet too!).

Suede give off a 70’s vibe, so why not embrace it and rock the fabric in flares. These. Are. Awesome.

These are just some of my favourites right now, but there are tons of options out there, which just shows you that possibilities with suede are endless. I hope this encourages you to give it a try (or pick up more pieces if you’re already suede crazy like me) and inspires your fall looks.

Until next time,
