Clean, crisp, and classic. The white button-down shirt is likely the least trendy item in your closet, but one of the most worn. Whether you wear it with distressed jeans, polished trousers, under a crisp blazer, or paired with an embroidered mini and high top sneakers, there is power in plain, and the white button-down shows off its’ flexing abilities with ease. But the question remains, how does one reinvent it season after season? This year, designers rose to the challenge and have put a twist on the classic button-down, giving a makeover to the staple piece, but proving it is just as wearable as before. Keep your eyes peeled in stores for unexpected sleeve shapes, asymmetric construction, embellishments, and new shapes and silhouettes to keep things interesting.
I was immediately drawn to the off-the-shoulder style of this bodysuit, and cannot wait for those warmer temps so I can pair it with a leather mini, or some cropped trousers. Are you inspired by the spring shirting trend? Are you still loving the off-the-shoulder style this season?
Until next time,
Side note, I tried to find this bag for you guys, but I think Vince has stopped making handbags! Is this true!?
