I finally took the plunge. I have had my eye on Everlane for quite some time now, and I know I may be late to the party (they’ve been around since 2010), but boy am I glad I showed up, and now I’m that person you’ve invited who you can’t seem to get rid of. Everlane, you’ve made a fan out of me and I’m here to stay.

Just a little back story, and for those of you who don’t know, Everlane is an online-only retailer that makes affordable, well made modern basics, a.k.a. essentials that you can mix and match with the rest of your wardrobe, a.k.a. your new favourites you can’t live without, a.k.a. your new online shopping addiction. Every wardrobe needs key pieces that you can build an outfit around, and Everlane is the solution. Not only can you feel great about the clothing, but the company is pretty awesome too – they’re built upon integrity and transparency. Their website includes links and photos of the factories used for production, they outline ethical standards, plus there’s even a small section about factory owners – they’re personal, and I like that. They also give you an exact breakdown of manufacturing costs, and the markup for each item as well. Pretty rad if you ask me.

For my first order I kept it small to test the waters. I grabbed a couple of their cotton crews, and a pima stretch turtleneck (surprise, surprise – my love for turtlenecks is real serious). I got my usual size small, and everything fits perfect. The fabric is better than I expected – it has a super soft hand feel and seems durable. I honestly could not be happier, and cannot wait to place another order. I have my eyes on this, this, this, and these. So to wrap up, I’m hooked. And this is definitely only the beginning of a beautiful and everlasting friendship with Everlane.

Until next time,

Courtney
