I have been coveting co-ords lately. Call them what you want: co-ords, co-ordinate sets, mix and match separates, it don’t matter to me! Any way you slice it, the two piece coordinating outfit makes getting dressed a breeze. A huge plus is the fact that you basically get a 3-in-1 outfit for the price of 1 (can this happen with every purchase please!?). You can wear the mathcy-matchy pieces together as a killer combo, or style the pieces individually to break up the look. The range of sets is awesome too. From flowy skirts and crop tops, to culottes and bandeaus, even streamlined suit jackets and trousers in colour popping hues count, the options are endless.
For this look, I went with a more elegant set and kept it simple for a polished look. I kept the accessories to a minimum to leave the focus on the outfit, and just added a classic choker. To switch things up with this particular set, you could easily rock the top with some high waisted mom jeans and sneakers for a more casual look, or swap out the flouncy top and wear a knitted crop top or jersey basic for a more laid back vibe. Unfortunately, the skirt in this particular set is sold out, but the top is still available! I’ve linked some other similar sets below, and have also included some other co-ords I’m crushin’ on.
- This Boohoo set has a similar top, but culottes give it a different edge.
- I love the bell sleeve and m-cut skirt in this Forever21 set.
- The allover star print on this set is so fun!
- The embroidery detail on this Topshop set is effortlessly cool.
- Another set from Topshop in a classic jacket and trouser combo.
Until next time,
